This is where our Sustainable Corporate Strategy comes into play, paving the way for a cleaner, greener and healthier tomorrow.

Each space within Pnoé Breathing Life was designed with these practices in mind. With buildings being responsible for 40% of global energy use and contributing up to 30% of global CO2 emissions, being as energy efficient as possible and minimising our impact on the environment was of paramount importance. This was achieved through the use of advanced computational methods.

Pnoé’s state-of-the-art bioclimatic design provides excellent thermal insulation and consequently decreases the hotel’s dependence on energy while also preventing wastage. As a result, Pnoé Breathing Life is not only in tune with its natural environment but it learns, adapts and works with it in perfect harmony.

Sustainability and the overall protection of our precious environment are at the heart of Pnoé’s daily operations. This is a commitment that we are proud to honour daily with gestures big and small that ultimately have a significant impact on the natural world we rely on. Waste is recycled as much as possible and water is biologically purified to use in our gardens. Oils used in our kitchens are later repurposed for biofuel production, while our venues forgo single-use plastic straws in favour of biodegradable ones. What’s more, bearing in mind the dire consequences of their extensive use, single-use plastics are not used at all on-site.

The same green attitude applies to all light fixtures within Pnoé. Fitted with energy-efficient LED bulbs, all fixtures are dimmable and adaptable depending on the time of day through a Digital Addressable Lighting Interface Additionally, we use a DHW circuit to regulate the use of hot water which in turn prevents the growth of legionella bacteria. At Pnoé, guests will also find electric car charges upon request.
